Long time, No blogging!

Hi everybody!
Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas!

Waldo has gotten HUGE!! Next I'll post some pictures. Waldo now has to lay down before he can eat and we're working on his walking on a leash. I have to go now because we are about to eat dinner, but before I go let me say this, there's going to be alot of pictures next time!

Cute pictures of Waldo

In this picture Waldo was being a little pot because he wouldn't look at the camera (well, I shouldn't say anything because Shane wouldn't look either).

Waldo has figured out that if he runs off with a sock, and we call him back and he drops it, he gets a kibble. On Monday he had his evsluations and he did really well, surprisingly enough. Thank goodness it was warm because the evals were outside.
I took this picture when I was laying on my side with Waldo next to me on the floor. He probably weighs 35lbs.

Stuff with Waldo

Hi everyone. Sorry it's been a long time since I updated. There's been alot going on.

Waldo weighs 27 lbs. He eats 1 cup of food three times a day. (So altogether he eats 3 cups of food a day.) Today he went to Best Buy, the library, the post ofice, and Heather's school in the band room. He greeted lots and lots of people though they were mostly little kids. When we were coming home from picking up Heather, we stopped to look at Christmas trees. So I told Waldo to get busy on the grass. Well, he pooped, right, so we left after Mom picked it up and it reeked so bad we were gagging. Mom told me to hang it out the window, so then she closed the window with the baggie hanging out. It was really funny because we were laughing all the way home.
On Sunday we took him to church and he slept through the sermon. He met all sorts of people. One woman is looking into becoming a raiser for Guiding Eyes. He absolutely loved being hugged, petted, rubbed, and cuddled. And this coming Monday he's going to have his quarterly evaluation which is like a checkup to see how he's doing in training and stuff.

Waldo and the Vet and Birthday Party

Well, yesterday we took Waldo to the veterinarian clinic for a checkup. He weighs 19.8 pounds and we had to up his food intake to 1 cup of food 3 times a day. The staff and the doctor were very nice and he got plenty of attention. I got to look through the microscope at Waldo's fecal sample. It was kind of cool, and the good thing was there were no bugs, worms, etc.
Heather just had a birthday party so six rather loud girls, including my sister, came home from school with her. Waldo loved, was loved on, and held all afternoon. Even balloons popping loudly didn't scare him.
And finally at the end of the day he:
CRASHLANDED ON SHANE'S BED FOR A NICE LONG NAP!!

Happy 12 week birthday, Waldo!

Well, Waldo will be turning 12 weeks on the 10th of November. Sorry I haven't updated in a while. With the time change and all, he would be getting up at 6am but when he thinks it's 6am it's really 5am. Today I'll post a video of Waldo doing his commands, and a bunch of pictures. About a week ago, a reporter from the local newspaper came out to interview me and he took about forty pictures of Waldo but he could only use three. So today I got on the front page with Waldo. Like I said before, the public is tired of all the politics so this gave them a break. Today Waldo rode around in the car with us, he got to go into the county administration building. He was a very good boy when we went in, he just plopped himself down on the carpet while we waited for Mom to finish what she was doing.
Waldo enjoyed playing with Sadie and Shane on Sunday. He took turns biting their tails and legs. As you can see he had a lot of fun and Sadie was nice to him.

Stuff Waldo Does

Well, there's a lot of things Waldo does. Several times a day he gets practice with his various commands and in the morning we walk him around the neighborhood or at a different location.
5am- gets up, goes potty, I make him go back to sleep
6am- Mom comes to get Waldo to feed him 3/4 cup of puppy kibble

6:30/7:30am- Waldo takes morning nap, then I take him out to "go"
7:30/7:45am- plays with Shane, biting his tail and stuff

11/11:30am- Waldo gets fed again
So you get the basic idea of what he does in the morning. This is what he does in the afternoon:
3pm- eats with Shane
3:30/4pm- sleeps in laundry room or in kennel

Wado knows his "sit" very well along with his name and "stand". He's doing very well on the lead and everything, so all and all, Waldo's doing very well. Yesterday we went and walked around at some stores and Waldo got to ride in the car with us, so he was all tired out when we got home.

Waldo and the Broom

Today I'll post a funny video of Waldo and the broom (hence the title). Mom was trying to sweep the floor when Waldo decided that the broom looked rather fun. No more details, you'll just have to watch the clip. Oh, and he only woke me up once last night, at 5am. Waldo's been very good with his manners and his "sit".

Oh my.

Oh my, it's Friday. Today he got up at 1am and 5am. We went to local garden store and walked around in the rain and shelter and Waldo got plenty of attention from all the employees. They thought he was very well behaved. Someone even asked Mom how to train a six week old puppy that he'd just gotten. I am very happy it's Friday because that means no school work and more time to play with Waldo. Hopefully tonight he'll sleep through the night. I'm tired. I feel like I could collapse at any moment...ha. Like a plank. I'm tired of all this cold and rain too. I want a sunny warm day!
I'll try to post a short video clip of Waldo and Shane tomorrow. Waldo likes to stalk Shane and then jump like a kangaroo onto Shane.
Have a nice weekend.

Wednesday

Today we took Waldo out to a garden store to walk around and he rode around in the car to some other stores with us. We have a lot of steps and he's doing really well on them. He didn't seem to be afraid of the lightening and thunder that we had today. He didn't seem to like the rain too much when we took him out. He likes taking a nap in the laundry room on one of the doggy towels. Shane and Waldo played most of the day. Waldo also found that Shane is a good chew toy!

Tuesday- Oct 23

Waldo did very well today. He knows his "sit". When Heather got home, we raked a pile of leaves and then we took Waldo out. We put leaves on him and he decided that he wanted a leaf to carry around in his mouth but we grabbed it before he could eat it. After that, we left to go to puppy class. We are supposed to practice "follow me" which he learns to follow you around which creates a bond between you and the puppy. We'll be practicing a circle game in which a few people sit in a circle, we have food in our hands, and we take turns calling his name to get him to come. He gets a piece of food when he comes to being called. This makes him learn his name. We also have to practice walking without pulling, his sit, down, stand commands.

He has a calm, cuddly personality and loves to be cuddled.
